The night continued with memories and laughs as some of SNL’s favorite skits were recreated for this monumental night. Highlights included Will Ferrell’s Celebrity Jeopardy, Weekend Update featuring Tiny Fey, Amy Poehler, and Jane Curtin, Jerry Seinfeld’s audience question and answer session, a tribute to politics, and a recorded tribute to 40 years of SNL’s most memorable moments.
All eyes were on Bradley Cooper and Betty White during the Californians sketch. Why? Because the American Sniper actor and 93-year-old icon locked lips in the funniest soap opera drama of the night!
As comedy’s biggest night ever, Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special dominated Sunday’s ratings, beating out the NBA All Star Game. With 23.1 million viewers (Huffington Post reports), the special will be a memory all views hold dear for the rest of their lives.
